Financial Stress and Worry...
Have you been afraid of not having enough money to take care of your financial needs? Is fear bombarding your life? Do you feel like you are always worrying about whether you will be able to take care of all your needs? Well, this morning, I got up to pray because I felt led to go to God and share my thoughts about how I was feeling about my upcoming surgery and knowing I would not be working for six weeks. In addition, my husband would possibly be out of work for some of that time, so I started to have some feelings of fear trying to come up in me.

The good thing about it is I did not let my fears drive and control me as they once were doing. I used to get so afraid that I would try to figure out how to deal with every situation but, in the end, cause more problems for myself. But, this time around, I felt led to go into my writing journal and write a prayer to my heavenly Father, who loves to hear from me as well as He loves to hear from you. When I began to share my feelings with the Lord, it was a true moment of intimacy where we became so close in that moment. Soon after, I finished writing my prayer and telling Him how things were coming up fast, and I did not know how I would deal with them, but I would trust Him. He gave me a Word right after I prayed! It is amazing to communicate and have a close relationship with God because then we can hear from Him and see Him working in our lives!

He sent me into a book called Change Your Words, Change Your Life by Joyce Meyer, and as I was reading on the page that it was already on, it said to Speak Faith, Not Fear. So right then and there, I said thank You, Lord. God will give you exactly what you need when you need it when you ask for the Bible says, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” (John 14:14 NIV). You can check out this book here for more information.

As I began to read, I saw the need to hold fast to my confession of faith in Jesus Christ (see Heb. 4:14), and I needed to speak boldly out loud “I believe God, and I will see His glory.”  Instead of saying, “my problems are overwhelming me,” I begin to trust and believe that God will work things out.
