I don’t know about you, but this has been such a hard thing for me as I have lived trying to do everything “just right,” but falling into procrastinating because things were not as perfect as I wanted. 

Can I be honest with you? 

Even when I desired to begin serving people like you when I wanted to serve, I felt because I wasn’t perfect in all my actions, I could not serve, but we find in the Word that God alone is perfect (see Deut. 32:4 NIV, 2 Sam. 22:31, Ps. 18:31). Hence, we who are imperfect beings can strive for excellence, but we should leave perfection to God. We can be perfect only when we surrender all of ourselves to God so He can do the change needed to live in freedom from fault, defect, and shortcomings.

The journey towards a healthier lifestyle is personal and unique to each individual. It doesn’t require perfection on the first try—or the hundredth.
