Embrace Your Beauty 🤩
People would say to me "why don't you straighten your hair? Why do you smile so much? Why do you sing so loud? A lot of what people said to me hurt in past times until I finally started to deal with the core of my issues.

I used to believe I was ugly and I would eat a lot of comfort food to dull my pain. Some use drugs and alcohol to cover up the hurt and pain and anxiety they're feeling.

My drug of choice was food and lots of it. You know, even after I would eat so much, it did not make me beautiful, in fact, I felt worst. My core was so heavy and because I had gotten so big, I could not see clearly nor could I do much moving around because I began to believe the words that were literally killing me and stealing my joy.

The words that people spoke were toxic and instead of confronting the situation in a Christ-centered manner, I would hide and believe the information as truth.

Why do we accept people's words as truth rather than seeking God's truth? Is it because they're in the natural and we can see them? GOD'S TRUTH IS ALL WE NEED!

Thomas doubted that Jesus came to see His disciples after dying on the cross. He said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

Later, we find that Thomas saw Jesus as the other disciples did. Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Stop listening to what other people say because God doesn't worry about the outer appearance as much as He does the inner impression because God made us in His image and created each of us to be BEAUTIFUL! Start embracing the beauty in you!

The Bible says,  "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:13-14).

The Bible says, "the Lord sees not as man sees, man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).

Start valuing your inner beauty because that's what God sees. Are you taking care of your heart? Are you dealing with the toxicity surrounding you and do you know the truth of God's Word?
