What Are You Dreaming About? (Part 3)

Sometimes I often wonder about the plans I go off and make for myself and think it's the way things should go, and God must follow my plan because I'm His child, and I think it's what He wants for me…

I've taken care to see the plans through and believed it was the right thing to do as I saw many reasons why it seemed to be a great plan. I was so confident that God would implement it into my life. I was so willing to do the work and spent a lot of money doing so at times.

I have made plans where I thought I was doing the right thing and kept going forward until a big crash happened... For instance, I spent some money on what I thought would be a good investment, and everything was looking great. I was inspired to keep moving forward in this investment because I believed I could make it work, but it wasn't the right investment for me as I soon found out that I swindled my money in the deal.

I did not handle this very well when I got a decline in my plans, or I saw that I had made a humongous mistake because I went with my plan instead of God's plan.

It feels hard to trust God in seasons when there's no work to be found, or you can no longer do the job you love to do, or the money is gone, and your family is attacking each other on every hand. It's easy to praise Him when things go well, but it can be challenging when hardship comes.

Despite the reality of it all, notice Habakkuk’s response:

“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation" (Hab. 3:18).

While I may not know when my dreams will come true, I can rejoice in the Giver of all things, though the resources are not here yet.

Though we may be enduring some unthinkable moments, we can rejoice in our Creator’s purposes. While we do not know what the future holds, we can rejoice in our Lord’s provision, for He is Jehovah Jireh, Our Provider.

After Habakkuk shows us in Habakkuk 2:4 the importance of living by faith, he shows what genuine faith looks like. His journey moves from protest to praise. From resentment to rejoicing. From terror to trust.

Let's be encouraged and empowered to do the same. Let's keep moving forward by faith.

I would love to be in our community together as we live by faith, trusting and believing God for the resources to build a place where change is happening and people are empowered. If you’re interested in becoming a part of our community, join now by clicking here. We will continue to dream, hope, and love more and more together as God opens the windows of heaven and pours out the blessings to bless others. I look forward to sharing with you and being good friends one with the other.
